June Update
Wow I honestly can’t believe we’re in June already. I know this is probably a theme with me but I just feel this year has moved so fast. Soon it will be the one year anniversary of the blog and I am thrilled to have not only stuck with the project but also the creativity it has sparked in us (the Caffeine Addled Minds team).
So updates:
For those of you who check out our Caffeine Addled Minds podcast feed you may have noticed our next project is up and available to listen to. Addled Archives are posted weekly in theory and the idea is we give voice note updates on what it is like in our lives as a Caffeine Addled Mind, and yes sometimes we end up having voice note debates with one another.
Now this has been a weird one for me, because I hate voice notes. If I want to send information and updates I text. If I want to talk I call. However in the spirit of the project I have been getting better and ignoring the first episode where I press the wrong button and cut off a couple of times I think we’re getting the hang of it. The Addled Archive are a fun little bonus project we can undertake while focusing on the main ones. NutBusters season two is being edited so that won’t be uploaded yet but as soon as it is close I will let y’all know. (Always wanted to put a Y’all in, such a fun abbreviation).
We also have a new project which will hopefully be ready for you guys this month so keep tuned this mini project should contain four different short stories to enjoy and watch as we butcher them. They will be available as podcasts but we will also be releasing the videos on youtube on our Caffeine Addled Minds channel so keep an eye out.
I don’t think there’s much more to update y’all on (seriously fun). So with that out of the way let’s get a quick musing done.
I recently realised that I am officially old (for more information check out the Caffeine Addled Archives on our Caffeine Addled minds Podcast channel). While I am fundamentally okay with this I do have to wonder when it happened. I know i’m in my thirties and that to those in their teens and twenties this indeed seems old, but I guess that because there are always older people than me I never really took the time to see myself as old.
Don’t get me wrong Lego and Dinosaurs still rule. So I will hold onto that part of my youth but step by step you begin to change, ache (oh my god the aches) and jut kind of mellow a bit. Things that would have annoyed me when I was younger don’t so much and in their place I find new things to be annoyed about I guess. I sound like my parents sometimes complaining about things I could never really understand them getting annoyed about (though somethings I still definitely don’t agree with them on).
I guess what I’m saying is perspective is weird and to those younger than me reading this I will say.
“When you’re as old as I am you’ll understand and laugh at those your age now.”
